Why would he be using an image inducer while at the mansion? I think it was just a kid with blue hair.

I thought of that to and the only thing I can come up w/ is.. he's not secure enough with himself to NOT use one. Of course, it doesnt have to be anybody in particular.. it was just a thought.

That's possible, I guess, but I can't see Prof X letting him do that. It doesn't fit with the general idea of acceptance of mutants.
Just a thought.

Well in X-Men:Evolution "Speed & Spyke" Kurt uses his image inducer while the team is having breakfest.

Perhaps Kurt's mutations are too drastic for even the other mutants to accept him, for now at least. I dunno, just a thought.

I kinda complained about that scene at fandom. There's a writer for the show who posts there. I feel they are making him use that inducer thingie too much. I know in this show he's a school kid who has to look 'normal', but he seems to prefer himself with that thing on. I'd rather see him coming to terms with his real appearance. Also, it seems like they are two different people: the civies Kurt and the Nightcrawler-Kurt. They even move and act different. Only thing in common is the voice. Hopefully the guy will take my complaint seriously.

I think whoever made the show wanted him to appear as Normal Kurt at least once per episode. Why? Beats me. But that was the only scene he appeared in where it was halfway believable.

They might eventually have him come to terms with his appearance, but in the 1st episode he was aware of how his appearance affected others. And he was pretty happy with the image inducer when he got it. It looks like he likes to use it more than it actually bothers people on the team to see him as he actualy is.
Only 5 episodes have aired, that for me would be to quick of a turn around for NC too make. Especially since it is something that has probably bothered him his whole life. I could see maybe in Season 2 that Kurt comes to terms with his appearance.
I thought the Image Inducer and Non-Image Inducer Kurt moved rather similarly. Though I do notice that he isn't so hunched over when in Image Inducer Mode.

I was poking around over at the Evolution site. And I read a bit of NC's bio in the bible. Here are some snip-its which relate to some of the Image Inducer conversation:
1.By virtue of a holographic inducer, Kurt can attend the regular school. But he lives in fear of his inducer going on the fritz, and the other kids finding out about his true appearance and labeling him a total freak.
2.Kurt's outer jovial nature is largely a mask to hide his biggest fear: being rejected as a freak.
3.Kurt's main vulnerability is the fact that he views himself as a freak. He'll never fit in like the others, never be able to pass for human, and he wears his outward difference like cross. He only wants to be normal, and is deathly afraid of being rejected.
Sentences after these where marked out with CEREBRO tags. So this is NC's starting point. Like the comic maybe he will overcome this crutch and find self acceptance. But obviously not now, hopefully in the future.

I was watching tv today and i just thought of who would be cool as two of Movie Nightcrawler's stunt doubles.
The Hamm Brothers.. Those two twins that were on the USA's Olpymic Gymnastic team.
They're REALLY good, and they have kinda long faces like Nighty (stunt double's don't have to look too much like the actor).
But the advantage to having twins is for Nightcrawler's telportation effects.
Bryan singer said the kid from the movie who teleported was played by a set of identical triplets, and that made it really easy to pull off the effect.
